Fresh cocoa pods on the tree

Palmer’s Skin Success is the Palmer’s range made for dark spots and uneven skin tone, and we get asked about it every week at our Eastleigh shop. There are four Skin Success products on our shelves, and they are not the same thing in different packaging. Here is which one to buy for your skin, how to use it so it has a fair chance to work, and what each one costs today.

What to look for

Which Skin Success product for which need

For most faces: Palmer’s Skin Success Fade Cream

Palmer’s Skin Success Fade Cream is a light cream for dark spots and uneven tone. Our listing has it with niacinamide and retinol, and it suits most skin types, from dry to oily. If you have a few marks on your face and do not know where to start, start here.

For oily skin and pimple marks: Skin Success Fade Cream Oily Skin

Palmer’s Skin Success Fade Cream for Oily Skin is the version for skin that gets shiny and spotty. It is aimed at the dark marks pimples leave behind as well as general uneven tone. If richer creams leave your face greasy by midday, choose this one. It is not a treatment for active pimples on its own; for that, read our guide to the best cream for pimples and dark spots.

For a night routine: Skin Success Anti-Dark Spot Fade Cream Night

Palmer’s Skin Success Anti-Dark Spot Fade Cream Night is made for the evening. It is listed with niacinamide, retinol, vitamin C and vitamin E, so it works on dark spots and is also a sensible pick if you are starting to notice fine lines. Use it on clean skin at night. If your skin is new to retinol, use it every other night for the first two weeks, then build up.

For the body: Skin Success Anti-Dark Spot Fade Milk

Palmer’s Skin Success Anti-Dark Spot Fade Milk is a body lotion for uneven tone on the arms, legs, knees, elbows and the back of the neck. It is listed with retinol and vitamin E. Smooth it onto clean skin after your bath, on the areas that need it.

How to use Skin Success so it works

Use a small amount on clean, dry skin as the label directs. Give it six to eight weeks of steady use before you judge it. Dark spots fade slowly, and changing products every week only irritates your skin and slows things down.

Keep the rest of your routine simple. Do not layer the night cream with other strong products such as acid toners or another retinol serum. If your skin stings, turns red or peels, use it less often.

Any fade cream is wasted without sunscreen. The sun darkens old marks and makes new ones, and this happens faster on deeper skin. Wear SPF 50 every morning, even on cloudy Nairobi days. Our guide to the best sunscreen in Kenya has picks with no white cast.

Skin Success or Cocoa Butter Formula?

They do different jobs. Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula is the everyday moisturising range for dry skin and softness. Skin Success is the targeted range for dark spots. Many people use Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Daily Skin Therapy Lotion on the whole body and keep the Fade Milk for the areas where tone is uneven.

Questions we get asked

Does Palmer’s Skin Success really fade dark spots?

It is made for dark spots and uneven tone, and the creams are listed with ingredients like niacinamide and retinol that are widely used for marks. Results depend on your skin, how old the marks are and whether you wear sunscreen. Expect slow change over weeks, not days.

Which Palmer’s fade cream is best for oily skin?

Choose Palmer’s Skin Success Fade Cream for Oily Skin. It is the version made for shiny, spot-prone skin and the marks pimples leave behind. The regular fade cream suits normal to dry skin better.

How much is Palmer’s Skin Success fade cream in Kenya?

Our Skin Success products cost roughly KSh 1,450 to KSh 1,800, depending on which one you choose. The live prices are in the list above. Delivery across Kenya is KSh 150, and free from KSh 3,000.

Can I use Palmer’s fade cream and fade milk together?

Yes, on different areas. Use a fade cream on your face and the Fade Milk on your body. There is no need to layer both on the same patch of skin.

Is the Palmer’s Skin Success at Benus Beauty original?

Yes. We sell original products only, and you can see every one at our shop at Shop B8, Moon Palace, Twelfth Street, Eastleigh. You can also order on WhatsApp and pay on delivery, so you see the product before you pay.
