A calm routine for sensitive skin
- A very gentle cleanser: Bioderma Sensibio Gel Moussant or CeraVe Hydrating.
- A soothing toner or ampoule with centella or heartleaf, such as SKIN1004 Centella Ampoule.
- A barrier cream with panthenol or ceramides: Dr. Althea 345 Relief Cream or Cicaplast B5+.
- A gentle sunscreen, like COSRX Aloe Soothing Sun Cream.
How to introduce a new product
Patch test first: apply a little behind the ear or on the side of the neck for 2 to 3 days. Add only one new product at a time and wait a week before the next, so you know what your skin is reacting to.
Ingredients that often irritate
- Fragrance and essential oils.
- Several acids or retinoids at once.
- Rough scrubs and hot water.
